Creating Breakout Rooms

  1. First, join a Google Meet meeting.
  2. Click the "Activities" icon in the bottom right hand corner

  1. Click the "Breakout rooms" button
Click the "Breakout rooms" button
  1. Click the pencil icon above "Set up breakout rooms"
Click "Set up breakout rooms" icon
  1. On this screen, you have the ability to control the details of the breakout room. You can configure the number of rooms to setup, the timer for how long the rooms should be available, who goes in which room, etc.
Configure the details of your breakout rooms
  1. Click "Open rooms". Your breakout rooms will now be active!
Click "Open rooms" to make your breakout rooms live
